I grew up living all over the country as my Father had a 26 year career in the United States Navy.



I myself was in the United States Marine Corps from 1992 to 1998 where I served in the intelligence community. My travels in the Marine Corps took me to Denver Colorado, where upon completion of my enlistment I was offered an opportunity to work as a Contractor serving in the same capacity I did in the Marine Corps. I continued to work in intelligence operations and eventually transitioned to the oversight and definition of large scale developments supporting the intelligence community. I held this career until the fall of 2012 when our family decided to move “home” to Idalou where we could help contribute to the multiple family businesses that my wife and her brother owned.

In 2014 I began overseeing the day to day operations of our Farm Store in Idalou Texas and in 2017 began a career in commercial insurance as a broker for Marsh & McLennan Agency.


I began my time at the South Plains Food Bank in January of 2024 and currently work in Development.


I am happily married to my best friend and the love of my life Brandi Lambert. We have 4 children Westley, Lance, Mikey, and Danielle. When I’m not working I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my Family and all things Texas Tech.

Matt Vance - Owner at Matt Vance Homes, LLC

Matt Vance is an alumni of Texas Tech University. After moving to the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his wife for work and obtaining his MBA, Matt decided to return to his hometown of Lubbock, Texas, to start building homes. West Texas has always been close to my heart.

 

Matt owns a custom home building company, Matt Vance Homes. In January, he will begin his second term on the West Texas Home Builders Association (WTHBA) Board of Directors, is a voting Texas Association of Builders (TAB) member for WTHBA, and he received the WTHBA 2023 ‘Rising Star’ Award. Matt Vance is also serving as the 2025 Parade of Homes chairman along with building two upcoming Parade Homes. He combines his finance, small business skills, and leadership qualities with his construction experience to run his business.

 

Matt enjoys being involved in projects from conception to completion, helping clients bring their dream homes to life. He excels at executing clients' visions while ensuring the construction of quality homes. He looks forward to continually grow his business while ensuring exceptional homes for his clients.
